Company History

In 1905 King Edward VII was on the throne, Russia was at war with Japan, Aston Villa won the FA Cup and Cadburys introduced the Dairy Milk bar. In the same year, over a century ago, Herbert Tribbeck, a clockmaker from Lymington, founded Tribbeck Bros with his brother Frank in Salisbury’s Silver Street. The business expanded, trading on its growing reputation for quality and service before moving to its present location in Bridge Street in 1935.

Today the business still holds true to its values of great customer service and quality goods - we have become specialist suppliers of fine quality gem rings, bracelets, earrings and pendants. Each piece reflects individuality, being created by top designers and made by the most highly skilled craftsmen.

In addition we have a great selection of gifts ideas and jewellery for brides, grooms, bridesmaids, ushers, mothers and the best man.

We have a comprehensive collection of modern and antique silver with beautiful tableware and gift ideas, from candle sticks to photo frames. We also stock a good selection of modern and antique clocks and barometers and are approved agents for watches by Seiko, Michel Herbelin and Tissot.

We offer a full repair, restoration and valuation service. Our registered valuer, who is also a Fellow of the Gemmological Association and the holder of the prestigious Gem Diamond Diploma, undertakes valuations for insurance and probate. We are also pleased to discuss and suggest ideas and designs for remodelling your existing jewellery, or making specially commissioned pieces. Perhaps you would like to sell or part exchange your unwanted jewellery, clocks or silver, in which case we can assist and help in your decision making.
